Paul PengShare
Fan Changzhen was a native of Laizhou (now part of Shandong Province) during the Jin and Yuan dynasties.
He became a disciple of Qiu Changchun (Qiu Chuji) and embraced the life of a Taoist monk. Later, he retreated to live in seclusion in the Panshi Mountain of Pingdu.

He had the ability to tame fierce beasts, and people of his time called him "Wolf Fan" (a nickname highlighting his skill in taming wolves). Details of his life story can be found in Laizhou Fu Zhi (Records of Laizhou Prefecture).
