The Fan Sheng 范胜
Paul PengShare
Fan Sheng was a native of Laizhou, Shandong, in the early Ming Dynasty.
His literary name was Quliuxin. He was intelligent since childhood. In his youth, he met a Taoist priest who taught him the techniques of fuqi bigu (breathing in vital energy and abstaining from grain) and daoyin (guiding energy for health preservation) to prolong life. After practicing these techniques for several years, he became light and agile in movement. Wherever he went, a unique fragrance would linger around him.

His deeds are recorded in The Annals of Laizhou Prefecture.
