The Feng Daozhen 冯道真

Feng Daozhen (1189-1265) was a native of Qifeng Mountain, Yulong Cave, Xijing Datong County (present-day Datong City, Shanxi Province) during the Jin and Yuan dynasties. His Taoist title was Qingyunzi.

As recorded in The Epitaph of Feng Daozhen, Feng Daozhen became a Taoist monk in his prime and was proficient in Taoist talismans and rituals.

Later, he paid homage to Patriarch Wang Xuanqing as his teacher. Subsequently, he went to Xijing, where he founded the Longxiang Wanshou Palace. He was conferred the title "Qingxu Dezheng Zhuguo Zhenren" (Real Person of Qingxu who Upholds Virtue and Assists the State) and became the Third Patriarch of the Qingxu Sect.

In the second year of the Zhiyuan era (of the Yuan Dynasty), he passed away at the age of seventy-seven. His disciples who inherited his Taoist tradition included Qiao Zhitong, Li Zhichang, Yang Zhixiang, and others.
