The Feng Qushe 酆去奢
Paul PengShare
Feng Qushe was a native of Longqiu in Quzhou during the mid-to-late Tang Dynasty.
He was registered as a Taoist priest at Anhe Taoist Temple in Songyang County, Chuzhou.

In his youth, he left secular life to become a Taoist practitioner and studied Taoist arts while traveling for more than thirty years.
In the temple, he placed statues of Laojun (the Supreme Old Lord, a core deity in Taoism, i.e., Laozi) and Celestial Master Zhang, as well as a portrait of Ye Jingneng (a renowned Tang Dynasty Taoist master). Every morning and evening, he engaged in fire rituals (a Taoist practice of burning incense as an offering) and cultivation, and paid ritual homage to these figures.
