Fu Jinquan was an inner alchemy master of the Eastern School in the Qing Dynasty, known by the art name Jiyi Zi.
He practiced the Yin-Yang dual cultivation alchemy method for many years and authored numerous works, including Annotations on the Human Medicine Mirror, Reading Essentials and Highlighting of the Orthodox Principles of Heavenly Immortals, Touchstone of Taoist Texts, Simple Records of the Consistent True Principles in Taoist Texts, Newly Engraved Taoist Text: Supplement to the Chuiyang Classic, Ode to the Tripod Vessel, Annotations on Lü Zu's "Qinyuanchun", Song of the True Scripture, Song of Gold Collecting, Mind Studies, Chishui Yin (Chishui Ode), Beixi Ji (Beixi Collection), Xingtian Zhengque (Rectifying the Nature of Heaven), Newly Engraved Annotations on Five Taoist Texts, Guidance for Reading Alchemy Classics, Top Annotations on the True Transmission of Golden Elixir, and Annotations on Shao Yong's Poems.

In the "Preface to Annotations on the Five Chapters of Lü Zu's Mind Methods", he summarized the thoughts of the Eastern School as: "True Lead is without lead; True Mercury is without mercury; the Mysterious Pass is without a pass; the midnight hour is not a literal hour."
He further stated: "The mechanism of the wonderful function between self and other, the secrets of the tripod, furnace, medicine, and fire—they emulate the generation of humans through male and female, follow worldly methods to transcend worldly methods, unite hearts as assistance, seek great chambers for planning, select alchemy chambers, and set up tripod vessels. How could this be achieved through mere purity and tranquility?"
"And one must also forge a divine sword, refined to completion in three years; when mindfulness is upright and emotions reach perfect stability, the spirit remains unmoved at the furnace."
These expositions made important contributions to the Eastern School's theory of Yin-Yang dual cultivation
