Gao Weitai was a figure during the Shunzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty.

He was a Taoist priest at Huanxiu Courtyard of Longhu Mountain, with the courtesy name Lingyun. He also held the position of Tidian (a managerial and supervisory role in Taoist temples) at Shangqing Palace (a major Taoist temple on Longhu Mountain).

When he was over 80 years old, he accompanied the 53rd Tianshi (the hereditary leader of Zhengyi Taoism, literally "Celestial Master") to the imperial court for an audience with the emperor.

At that time, a prince was ill. Gao Weitai stepped forward to treat the prince using Taoist rituals (or medical techniques). The prince’s illness was immediately cured. Emperor Shizu (the Shunzhi Emperor) bestowed silver coins and silk upon him, and Gao returned to Longhu Mountain. He lived to the age of 90.
