Ge Xuan (164-244), styled Xiaoxian, was a native of Jurong in Danyang (present-day Jurong County, Jiangsu Province) during the Three Kingdoms period, who served the state of Wu.

He once studied Daoism under Zuo Ci, receiving The Golden Liquid Alchemical Scripture, The Supreme Purity Alchemical Scripture, The Nine Cauldrons Alchemical Scripture, as well as various secret techniques. He practiced Daoism on Gezao Mountain in Jiangxi, often taking atractylodes as an elixir and being able to perform various miraculous arts using talismans.
Emperor Da of Wu once summoned him.
His disciple Zheng Yin inherited his magical arts.
In Taoism, he is revered as "Immortal Lord Ge" and "Supreme Ultimate Left Immortal Lord". In the third year of the Chongning era of the Song Dynasty (1104), he was posthumously conferred the title "True Person of Responsive Action"; in the third year of the Chunyou era (1243), he was conferred the title "True Lord of Responsive Action and Trustworthy Blessing".
