Genealogy and Record Category
It is the fifth category among the twelve classifications of Taoist scriptures.

In Taoist Essentials: On the Ten Sections, "pu" (genealogy) is explained as "xu" (sequence), and "lu" (record) as "ji" (account). It states: "It sequences and records the sages as the basis for teaching; it also traces their origins to facilitate preservation and transmission." This category mostly contains records of the lineage of "Heavenly Emperors and True Immortals," encompassing the merits, names, and incarnated deeds of all supreme truths and exalted sages.
