The Hong Tianxin 洪天馨

Hong Tianxin was a native of Jinjiang, Fujian (now part of Fujian Province) during the Ming Dynasty.

His courtesy name was Tianfu, his literary name was Weifeng, and he also styled himself "Moling Dongtongqu Daoren" (Daoist of the Open Road at Moling Cave).

He was fond of reading Daoist classics such as Laozi (Tao Te Ching), Zhuangzi, Cantongqi (The Kinship of the Three), and Wuzhenpian (Awakening to Reality). He was well-versed in divination, medicine, and the I Ching (Book of Changes) with its Eight Trigrams.

In daily life, he treated people with medicine, took pleasure in giving alms to help the poor, and was held in high esteem and revered by the townsfolk.
