The Huang Shang 黄裳

Huang Shang, a Taoist priest and inner alchemist in the late Qing Dynasty, styled Yuanji. He was a native of Fengcheng, Jiangxi Province.
During the Daoguang and Xianfeng reigns, he taught inner alchemy methods at Leyu Hall. He authored Annotations on the Dao De Jing. His disciples compiled his Taoist lectures into Discourses of Leyu Hall and Essentials of Taoist Teachings, which are the orthodox alchemy methods of the Zhong (Middle) School.

Huang Yuanji's alchemy method is known as "direct penetration through the middle yellow field" and belongs to the pure and tranquil practice.
