The Huang Yijing 黄一静

The Huang Yijing 黄一静

Paul Peng
Huang Yijing was a native of Renhe (now part of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province) during the Qing Dynasty.

His original given name was Qingxuan, and his courtesy name was Shenghui. He was well-versed in the principles of the I Ching (Book of Changes).

At the age of fifty, he became a disciple of Xu Qingyang. During the day, he made a living by practicing divination; at night, he performed the ritual of paying homage to the Big Dipper until dawn. He persisted in this routine for ten years without slack, and his devout practice yielded notable spiritual responses.
