The Huoluo Seven Primordial Talismans of Shangqing
The Huoluo Seven Primordial Talismans of Shangqing (Shangqing Huoluo Qiyuan Fu) are early talismans of the Shangqing School, presumably dating back to the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317–420 CE).

This set of talismans is already mentioned in Volume 19 of Zhengao (The True Declarations) and is also recorded in Sandong Fengdao Kejie Yifan (The Ritual Norms and Precepts for Upholding the Dao in the Three Grottoes).
The version preserved in the Daozang (Taoist Canon) today is included in the "Divine Talismans" category of the Dongxuan (Mysterious Grotto) Section. The "Huoluo Seven Primordials" (Huoluo Qiyuan) refer to the Sun, Moon, and Five Planets (Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Saturn) in the heavens.
This text contains one talisman for each of the Seven Primordials, six Demon-Subduing Talismans (sourced from Xiaomo Jing / The Scripture of Subduing Demons), and one Yellow Talisman (sourced from Zhengao).
The Huoluo Seven Primordial Talismans were used to summon deities and subdue demons, and they are among the important early talismans of the Shangqing School. Wushang Miyao (The Supreme Secret Essentials) quotes these talismans under the title "The Talismans of Summoning Spirits, Attracting True Essences, Subduing Demons, and the Huoluo Seven Primordials."
