The Jiang Zhenghe 江正合

Jiang Zhenghe was a Kundao (female Taoist cleric) who lived during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. She was a native of Wujiang (now part of Jiangsu Province) and held the literary name "Yuncheng".

She was the wife of Lü Yunyin, a Taoist precept master. At the age of 17, she married Lü Yunyin. Following her husband’s aspiration, she practiced Taoist cultivation, maintained a dignified posture in meditation, and treated her husband with the utmost respect (like esteemed guests). She recited the Huangting Jing (The Yellow Court Classic) daily and gained considerable insights from it. Lü Yunyin’s father then taught her the Lingfei Jing (The Spiritual Flight Classic) and gave her the current name "Zhenghe". She established a Taoist convent for women in Mudu, and after several years, she attained profound mastery of the Taoist Dao.
