The Lai Lingyu 来灵玉
Paul PengShare
Lai Lingyu was a native of Jingzhao (now part of Shaanxi Province) during the Jin Dynasty, and went by the Taoist title "Zhenyangzi" (Master of True Yang).
He studied Confucian classics from a young age. In the 10th year of the Dading era (1170), he became a Taoist priest by taking Ma Danyang as his teacher.

When Ma Danyang returned eastward to the coastal regions, Lai Lingyu accompanied him on the journey.
Accounts of his life can be found in the first volume of Zhongnanshan Zuting Xianzhen Neizhuan (Inner Biographies of Immortal Sages from the Ancestral Court of Zhongnan Mountain).
