Li Guoyou was a native of Dengzhou (now part of Shandong Province) during the Yuan Dynasty.

He was well-versed in Taoist doctrines and practices, and could observe the "qi" (a vital energy in traditional Chinese thought) to divine good or ill fortune.

He resided in Hangzhou and made a living by practicing physiognomy (the art of judging character or predicting fate from facial features). Every prediction he made came true, so people regarded him as extraordinary.

He claimed to be able to see through the human body and observe the five internal organs. His ability to treat illnesses was also said to be miraculous, earning him the title of "Immortal" among the people of Hangzhou.

Paul Peng is a Zhengyi Taoist priest from Longhu Mountain, Jiangxi — the ancestral home of the Celestial Masters' tradition. Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
