The Li Jiamou 李嘉谋

Li Jiamou was a native of Shuangliu, Sichuan during the Song Dynasty. His courtesy name was Xizhai, and his Taoist title was "Daoist Xizhai".

In the second year of the Qiandao reign period (1166), he passed the imperial examination (to become a jinshi, the highest-ranking scholar-official) and once served as Zongzheng Cheng (Assistant Official of the Imperial Clan Court) in Xiangyang Prefecture. He conducted in-depth research on the doctrines of Laozi and Zhuangzi (the core thinkers of Taoism) and had a particular interest in the principles of the I Ching (Book of Changes).
In his later years, he turned to Taoism and delved into the essential tenets of Can Tong Qi (The Unity of the Three) and Yin Fu Jing (The Scripture of the Hidden Talisman)—two classic texts of Taoist philosophy and cultivation.

He authored Yuanshi Shuo Xiantian Daode Jing ZhuJie (Annotations on the Primordial Narrated Innate Dao De Jing), in five volumes, and Dao De Zhen Jing Yi Jie Zhu (Annotations on the Explanations of the True Scripture of the Dao and Its Virtue), in four volumes.
