Li Tingxi was a Taoist monk of Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi Province during the late Song and early Yuan dynasties.
In the 18th year of the Zhiyuan era of the Yuan Dynasty (1281), he was officially appointed to the position of Du Daolu (Chief Taoist Registrar, a top administrative role overseeing Taoist affairs nationwide) and conferred the title of "Fashi Xuanjing Guanfu Ningyuan" (Dharma Master of Profound Stillness, Contemplating the Return, and Calm Distance).
