Li Zhanran (?–1765) was a native of Taicang (now part of Jiangsu Province) during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. His courtesy name was Shenche, and his literary name was Leng'an.

At the age of seven, he entered Qingzhen Taoist Temple; at twenty, he served as the secretary of Yuanmiao Taoist Temple. Later, he went to Longhu Mountain, where he studied under Lou Jinyuan and became Lou's Dharma successor (inheritor of his Taoist doctrinal and ritual lineage).
According to records in Records of Yuanmiao Temple, when Li Zhanran was forty, he retreated to seclusion on Hengshan Mountain. He built a residence named "Danxiang Ju" (the Quiet Fragrance Lodge) by himself and practiced Taoist cultivation there.

Li Zhanran was skilled in acupuncture and moxibustion (a traditional Chinese medical therapy). He treated illnesses for people but refused to accept any payment as a matter of principle. He passed away due to illness in the 30th year of the Qianlong reign (1765).

He authored works such as An Exposition and Annotation on the "Can Tong Qi" (a classic Taoist alchemical text) and Collected Poems from Qia'an Lodge. His disciple included Xu Fengzhang.
