Li Zhiming was a figure of the Yuan Dynasty.

His Taoist title was Yinzhenzi (Master Yinzhen, meaning "the Recluse of Truth"). He lived in seclusion on Mount Laoshan (then called Mount Laoshan, now known as Laoshan Mountain) in Jimo. 

In the early years of the Dade era (1297), at the invitation of Venerable Master Liu of Hualou (Hualou Peak), he moved to Mingxia Cave on Hualou Peak. Later, his disciples Lin Zhiyuan and Lin Zhiquan built a simple earthen house near Mingxia Cave to live with him.

According to A Record of Juxian Palace on Mount Laoshan, "For twenty-five years, people seeking to learn the Dao (Tao) came in an endless stream."

In the early years of the Taiding era (1324), Luan Kegang, the county captain of Jimo, helped build Shangqing Palace. The Great Master of Taoist Teaching (the top-ranking Taoist leader) granted it the plaque name "Juxian Palace" (Palace of Gathered Immortals).

Li Zhiming had a deep spiritual connection with the true essence of the Dao and displayed extraordinary aspirations and conduct. He had more than 500 disciples under his mentorship.
