The Li Zhisheng 李志升
Paul PengShare
Li Zhisheng was a figure during the reign of Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty.
As recorded in Qianlong Edition of Changzhou County Records: During the Dazhong Xiangfu era (1008–1016), "Heavenly Books" (a sacred text believed to be bestowed by heaven in Taoist tradition) descended repeatedly. By imperial edict, the relevant Taoist temple was renamed Tianqing Temple, and Taoist priest Li Zhisheng was appointed to the position of Zuojie Daolu Si (a senior administrative post in the Song Dynasty’s Taoist management system, responsible for overseeing Taoist affairs in the eastern part of the empire).

The emperor also granted treasury funds to build four hermitages (located in the east, west, south, and north of the temple) and ordered the painting of "Scenic Vistas of the Three Heavens" (a Taoist cosmological concept referring to the three realms of heaven) in halls dedicated to Yuhuang (the Jade Emperor, the supreme deity in Taoist mythology) and Tianyi (the Heavenly Physician, a Taoist deity associated with healing), among others.
