The Lingbao Shihao Gongde Yinyuan Miaojing 太上洞玄灵宝十号功德因缘妙经

Taishang Dongxuan Lingbao Shihao Gongde Yinyuan Miaojing (The Wonderful Scripture of the Ten Titles, Meritorious Deeds, and Karmic Conditions of the Numinous Treasure of the Cavernous Mystery of the Supreme Oneness), the author of which is unknown.

Judging from its content and wording, it was presumably composed by Taoist priests during the Sui and Tang dynasties.

It consists of one scroll and is included in the Text category of the Cavernous Mystery section of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

The scripture is pseudonymously attributed to the Supreme Lord of the Dao expounding teachings to the Universal Salvation True Person.

It states that the Primordial Heavenly Worthy has ten titles: first, the Supreme Dao; second, the Primordial Origin; third, the Supreme Ultimate; fourth, the High August Emperor; fifth, the Radiant Light; sixth, the Jade Emperor; seventh, the Righteous Dharma King; eighth, the Great Compassionate Father; ninth, the Immortal True Teacher; tenth, the Heavenly Worthy.

The Lord of the Dao explains the meaning and origin of each title one by one, claiming that these ten titles all derive from the Heavenly Worthy expounding the essential arts of the Three Caverns and the wonderful texts of the great canon.

Therefore, the scripture also lists the titles of the thirty-six revered scriptures and the twelve categories of Taoist texts, and interprets their meanings.
