The Liu Jian 刘简
Paul PengShare
Liu Jian was a man of the Northern Qi Dynasty.
According to Yixian Zhuan (Biographies of Suspected Immortals), his family was wealthy. He converted to Taoism at an early age, and whenever he heard of famous mountains or immortal relics across the land, he would definitely travel there with a walking staff.

Later, he entered Bagong Mountain, where he met Xuwuzi, who gave him celestial herbs. Liu Jian took the herbs back to his hometown and consumed their shoots.
He lived to be over a hundred years old, remaining light of body and strong in physique.
