Paul PengShare
Liu Tu was a native of Jiangxia (present-day Yunmeng County, Hubei Province) during the reign of Emperor An of the Eastern Han Dynasty.

According to Volume 5 of The Comprehensive Mirror of True Immortals Through the Ages Who Embodied the Dao, in the third year of the Yongchu period (109), Lord Laozi (Laozi) descended and summoned Liu Tu to collate and verify the world's registers. Through this, Liu Tu attained the Dao and thus became a Taoist priest.
