The Liu Yingzhen 刘应真

Liu Yingzhen was a native of Songyang (now part of Zhejiang Province) during the Song Dynasty.
His courtesy name was Congdao. He became a monk under the tutelage of Master Zhang Xubai from Longhu Mountain and mastered Zhang Xubai's esoteric techniques of Taoist talismans (Fulu).

During the Yuanyou period of Emperor Zhezong of the Song Dynasty, he was summoned to the capital by imperial edict and ordered to preside over the Shangqing Chuxiang Palace. He was bestowed with a golden-lined purple robe and the title "Lingbao Xuying Great Master".
