The Liu Zhihe 刘致和

Paul Peng
During the reign of Emperor Renzong of the Yuan Dynasty, Liu Zhihe was a Taoist monk at Shangqing Palace of Longhu Mountain. His courtesy name was Lizhong.

In his childhood, he studied Confucianism; later, he entered Longhu Mountain and became a Taoist monk.

Facing Xiangshan (Elephant Mountain) in Xiancheng (Immortal City), he built a three-room tower, in which he collected ten thousand volumes of books. He named this tower "Benxin Zhai" (Study of the Original Mind) and resided there to read and practice Taoism.
