Lu Ye, a figure of the Northern Song Dynasty, had the courtesy name Boshan and the literary name Yanghao.

As recorded in Daofa Huiyuan (Compendium of Taoist Methods): In his youth, he became a Taoist priest and was skilled in various levels of the "Liuyin Dongwei" (Six Yins and Profound Insight) Taoist magic arts, hence being known to the world as "Liuyin Dongwei Xianqing" (Immortal Minister of Six Yins and Profound Insight).
He lived in seclusion on Mount Qingcheng in Sichuan and once passed down his magic arts to Zhang Jixian.
