The Lu Zhirou 卢至柔
Paul PengShare
Lu Zhirou, also known by his courtesy name Bi, was a figure at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty.
He entered Mount Mao and became a Taoist hermit at Dongxu Palace. Endowed with Taoist supernatural abilities, he was skilled in using fulu (Taoist talismans) and consecrated water to treat illnesses for people.

Later, he lived in seclusion on Can Mountain. In the first year of the Daguan era of Emperor Huizong (1107 AD), Liu Hunkang submitted a memorial to the emperor, reporting Lu Zhirou’s profound Taoist attainments. The emperor then bestowed the name "Mingyang Palace" upon Lu’s residence. During the Zhenghe era (1111-1117 AD), Emperor Huizong issued an imperial edict summoning Lu Zhirou to the imperial court, but Lu had already passed away shortly before the summon arrived.
