The Mao Xicong 毛希琮

Mao Xicong (1186-1223) was a figure of the Jin Dynasty. His Taoist title was Tixuanzi, and he was the Fourth Patriarch of the Zhendadao Sect (True Great Dao Sect).

When the Jin Dynasty was on the verge of collapse, Mao Xicong managed to preserve himself with a gentle and prudent approach, while strictly upholding the doctrinal traditions and spiritual ethos of the Zhendadao Sect.

In the second year of the Yuanguang era of the Jin Dynasty (1223), he passed away due to illness at the age of thirty-eight, having propagated the teachings of the sect for five years.
