Ni Shouyue was a native of Jinhua, Zhejiang, in the late Southern Song Dynasty.

His courtesy name was Zhuquan, and his literary name was Songshan Yushi (Recluse of Pine Mountain). He was a Taoist priest of Chisong Mountain in Jinhua.
Having devoted himself to Taoist practice for over forty years, he collected materials on the origin and development (of Chisong Mountain), summarized its key aspects, and compiled Annals of Chisong Mountain in Jinhua, a work in one volume.

Paul Peng is a Zhengyi Taoist priest from Longhu Mountain, Jiangxi — the ancestral home of the Celestial Masters' tradition.
