The Ninefold Verdant Gold Elixir
This book details the method of refining the Ninefold Transforming Spirit Cinnabar Elixir. First, mercury and sulfur are stir-fried to produce blue gold head. Using blue gold head as the raw material, it is placed into a furnace and cauldron for heating and refining to obtain fire-subdued spirit cinnabar, which is the first transformation. Then, the elixir refined from the previous transformation is taken as the base material, with additional sulfur added for further heating and refining. Through this sequential process, one obtains successively the Second Transformation Rejuvenation Elixir, the Third Transformation Purple Glow Elixir, the Fourth Transformation Elixir, the Fifth Transformation Elixir, the Sixth Transformation Elixir, the Seventh Transformation Return Elixir, the Eighth Transformation Elixir, and the Ninth Transformation True Yang Elixir. Upon the completion of the ninefold elixir, one offers sacrifices to heaven, earth, gods, and deities, and takes the elixir dissolved in jujube soup. The content of this book is largely similar to that of The Ninefold Transforming Spirit Cinnabar Great Elixir, with only minor discrepancies. See the relevant entry for details.
