Composed by Lin Xiyi of the Song Dynasty.
Consisting of eight volumes, it is included in the Yujue (Jade Commentary) category of the Dongshen Section of the Daozang (Daoist Canon).
This work mostly collates and annotates the Liezi by referencing the Zhuangzi, or interprets the Liezi by citing Buddhist terminology and concepts.
The Oral Meaning of the True Classic of Simplicity
Its explanations are phrased in colloquial language, hence the name "Kouyi (Colloquial Annotations)".
