The Ouyang Yuyuan 欧阳玉渊
Paul PengShare
Ouyang Yuyuan was a figure of the Yuan Dynasty, and his literary name (hao) was Yuanyangzi.
He studied under Chen Zhixu as a disciple, then lived in seclusion on Mount Lushan, practicing the "Way of Kan and Li" (a core concept in Taoist internal alchemy, where "Kan" and "Li" are two trigrams from the I Ching—"Kan" symbolizes water/yin and "Li" symbolizes fire/yang; the practice focuses on balancing yin and yang energies within the body to cultivate the "Golden Elixir").
