The Pan Taichu 潘太初
Paul PengShare
Pan Taichu was a figure of the Yuan Dynasty and went by the Taoist title "Yiyangzi" (Master of the Single Yang).
He studied under Chen Zhixu, who imparted to him the Taoist doctrine of "regeneration after complete peeling away" (a concept in Taoist cultivation referring to the renewal of vital energy or spiritual essence after eliminating impurities). Later, Pan Taichu served as the abbot of Taiping Palace on Mount Lushan.
