The Pan Yiyuan 潘一元
Paul PengShare
Pan Yiyuan was a native of Yuhang (now part of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province) during the Qing Dynasty.
His courtesy name was Tianya, and his literary name was Qingyangzi.

He began studying classics at the age of nine and was exceptionally intelligent. After his father passed away, he admired the tranquility and purity of Dadi (a famous Taoist mountain/monastery) and thus left his family to become a Taoist. He achieved profound results through his cultivation and practice, and Wang Dongyang conferred the Three Great Precepts upon him. His mother also accompanied him in seclusion until the end of her life.
