The Peng Jingchang 彭敬昌

The Peng Jingchang 彭敬昌

Paul Peng
Peng Jingchang was a native of Anfu (now part of Jiangxi Province) during the Ming Dynasty.

In his youth, he became a Daoist Priest. He practiced the "Dunjia Yinyang Technique" (a traditional Chinese esoteric art combining divination and Yin-Yang theory) with remarkable efficacy: his prayers were always answered, the beings he summoned arrived immediately, and when he drew talismans and recited incantations, plagues would be cured right away. For this reason, people of his time called him a "divine person."
Accounts of his life can be found in Chuzhou Zhi (Gazetteer of Chuzhou).
