Peng Nanqi (1284-1335) was a native of Luling during the Yuan Dynasty, a place now part of Ji'an County, Jiangxi Province. He was known by the literary name (hao) "Mr. Jiuwan".

As recorded in The Stele of Mr. Peng Jiuwan: At the age of six, Peng Nanqi could recite Confucian classics and historical records; at twelve, he entered the government-run school in the prefectural capital, which was located in Ziji Palace (a Taoist temple), and thus became a Taoist priest. When he grew a little older, he gained fame for his literary talents, particularly excelling in poetry.
He practiced neidan (internal alchemy, a core Taoist practice focusing on cultivating vital energy within the human body) and mastered the profound methods related to spiritual refinement.

Later, he traveled as a wandering Taoist across the Min Mountains (a mountain range in present-day Fujian Province), passed through Wuyi Mountain, and went eastward to the coastal areas.

In the first year of the Zhiyuan era (of the Yuan Dynasty, 1335), he passed away without suffering from any illness at the age of fifty-two. Several volumes of his poems and essays, as well as several volumes of ritual texts on Taoism and Buddhism, were handed down to later generations.

Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
