The Purple Tenuity Star Confession 中天紫微星真宝忏

Author unknown. It appears to have been compiled during the Ming Dynasty.

Consisting of one scroll, it is included in the Xu Daozang (Continued Taoist Canon).

This work describes paying homage to celestial lords such as the Northern Pole Purple Micro Emperor, the Sun Star Lord, the Moon Star Lord, the Five Dippers, and the Twenty-Eight Lunar Mansions, praying for blessings and forgiveness of sins. The repentance text states that the Lord of the Central Purple Microstar (i.e., the Purple Micro Emperor) holds the key authority and oversees the governance of the Three Heavens, while the other celestial lords of the Five Dippers each preside over a respective region. If mortals respectfully practice this precious repentance ritual and pay homage to the celestial lords of all directions, they can eliminate the three karmas, purify the six sense faculties, and attain blessings and auspiciousness.
