Ren Fengzi (? - 1184) was a native of Fan County (present-day Fan County, Henan Province) during the Jin Dynasty.

He had an unusual appearance, and people called him "the madman" (Fengzi, a nickname combining "wind" and a colloquial term for "madman," reflecting his eccentric traits).
Orphaned at a young age, he worked as a servant in a wine shop. Later, Ma Danyang imparted immortal Taoist techniques to him, and Ren Fengzi practiced Taoism at Youxian Guan (Youxian Taoist Temple) in Laiyang.

He could go without eating for ten days at a time and wore only a single layer of clothing even in the bitter cold. He was skilled in divination, and his predictions about good fortune and misfortune all proved accurate.

Ren Fengzi passed away in the 24th year of the Dading era (1184).

Accounts of his life can be found in Da Qing Yi Tong Zhi (Comprehensive Gazetteer of the Great Qing Dynasty) and Xu Wenxian Tong Kao (Continuation of the Comprehensive Examination of Literature and Institutions).
