The Supreme Lord Dongyuan Samadhi Incantation for Gathering Blessings and Auspiciousness

Its full name is The Supreme Lord Dongyuan Samadhi Imperial Heart Bright True Seal Taiji Ziwei Incantation for Subduing Demons, Controlling Ghosts, Redeeming Evil Paths, Gathering Blessings and Attracting Auspiciousness.

The author is unknown, but it was presumably composed by Taoist priests of the Dongyuan School in the Tang Dynasty.

It is included in the "Original Texts of the Cave Mysterious Section" of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

The incantation is pseudonymously attributed to the transmission by the Primordial Heavenly Venerable, with the core purpose of "subduing demons and controlling ghosts, redeeming evil paths, dispelling disasters and gathering blessings". It claims that reciting this incantation can "deliver all sentient beings and enable them to attain sagehood together". The phrase "auspicious sound, Tan Chi Jun" appears repeatedly in the incantation, which is said to be the sound emanated by the Primordial Heavenly Venerable. It is believed that when mortals hear and chant this pure Dharma sound, they can gather blessings and bring about auspiciousness.
