The Ritual of Repentance to the Ten Directions for the Samadhi Divine Incantation Fast of Dongyuan of the Supreme Lord

Revised and finalized by Du Guangting, a Taoist priest in the late Tang Dynasty.

It is included in the Rituals and Ceremonies Section of the Cave Mysterious Division of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

The text records the Taoist ritual where priests hold the Grand Samadhi Divine Incantation Fast for households, perform Taoist practices and repentance ceremonies, aiming to cure disasters and illnesses, and pray for blessings and grace. The ritual consists of paying homage, repenting and making wishes to the ten directions in sequence, as well as reciting the divine incantations of the ten directions.
