The Supreme Three-in-One Five-in-Unity Orthodox Unity Alliance of Mystical Powers: Rite for Examining Talismans (Tai Shang San Wu Zheng Yi Meng Wei Yue Lu Jiao Yi) was originally annotated as "Revised by Du Guangting, Master of Guangcheng". It was adapted by Du Guangting, a Taoist priest in the late Tang Dynasty, based on the talismanic scriptures of early Celestial Master Taoism.

The text consists of one volume and is included in the Dong Shen Bu (Mystery of the Caverns Section), Wei Yi Lei (Ritual Protocols Category) of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

The book lists the quotas and official duties of various gongcao (administrative spirits), messengers, generals, as well as divine soldiers and officers recorded in the talismans worn by Orthodox Unity Taoist priests, and also describes the jiao rituals for examining the worn talismans. The rituals for examining talismans include ceremonies such as summoning official spirits, dispatching the divine soldiers and officers from the talismans, and deploying the armies and horses of generals from all divisions.

It is said that performing this jiao ritual can ensure that all the gongcao, divine soldiers and officers perform their respective duties, protect one’s body and life, and help one avoid disasters and overcome hardships.
