The Shangguan Tong 上官通

Shangguan Tong lived in the early Ming Dynasty.
His courtesy name was Yiming. In his youth, he served as a government clerk, but grew weary of worldly affairs. He then became a Taoist priest and lived in seclusion in Longjing Keng (Dragon Well Pit) deep in the mountains.

He was proficient in internal alchemical Taoism, as well as the practices of "qifu" (breathing cultivation) and "bigu" (abstaining from grain). He lived to the age of seventy-seven.
