Judging from its content and writing style, it seems to be a classic text of the Shangqing School from the Southern and Northern Dynasties or the Sui and Tang Dynasties. It is a one-volume work and is included in the "Jade Formula Category" of the "Dongxuan Section" in the Taoist Canon.

The scripture discusses the practice of visualizing deities to achieve immortality and ascend to heaven. It states: "The Dao of the Jade True Emperor of the Elixir Origin in Shangqing, and the method of being nourished by the Wonderful Spirit Qionghua Jade Consort in the Crimson Platform, are kept secret in the Imperial Pole Palace of the Crimson Platform in Shangqing."

By practicing this Dao for fifteen years, one can induce the descent of purple radiance, the Jade Consort to come to one's chamber, the five viscera to shine brightly, the entire body to become as solid as gold, and then be surrounded by crimson clouds, receive the imperial edict, and fly to Shangqing.

The practice steps are as follows:

First, observe a pure fast for thirty days, and visualize that the sun emits flowing light and glowing clouds stretching nine million zhang (a traditional Chinese unit of length, approximately 3.3 meters per zhang), shining down on one's body.
Draw in the essence of the glowing clouds and swallow it into the abdomen, allowing it to illuminate the five internal organs.
Next, visualize the Jade Consort guiding oneself to walk and fly on the purple radiance and flowing light, rushing into the sun. There, one will see the Jade True Emperor of the Elixir Origin in Shangqing sitting on the purple clouds within the sun, with a form like an infant and a red sun in his mouth.
The sun emits light of nine colors, and each ray is adorned with a jade essence. One should tilt one's head back and inhale the nine-colored jade essences into the five viscera, allowing the jade light to interreflect and the body and spirit to unite as one.
Finally, visualize the Golden True Divine Mother bestowing the Jade True Purple Radiance Talisman of the Sun Emperor. According to the method, choose an auspicious day to wear this talisman. By diligently practicing for fifteen years, one can receive the edict and become a True Person of Shangqing.
