The Shangqing Highest Golden Origin Jade Clarity Hidden Script Scripture for Subduing Demons in the Cavern Vision
As an early classic of the Shangqing School (Higher Clarity School) of Taoism, it was roughly compiled during the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

Originally a chapter of The Dongzhen Jade Clarity Hidden Script, it was later separated to become an independent scroll and included in the "Zhengyi" (Orthodox Unity) section of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).
The scripture claims itself to be "the essential teaching of the Highest (Deity)" and "the sacred chapter of the Jade Emperor". The main text is a long lyrical prose (rhyme-prose), followed by a section on cultivation methods.
Practitioners who recite the scripture, visualize divine beings, and chant incantations in accordance with the prescribed method can resolve the karmic knots of their seven generations of ancestors and protect the myriad spirits within their "embryonic origin" (a Taoist term referring to the innate spiritual essence in the human body).
It is stated that if one recites the scripture ten thousand times, "their body will shine with the radiance of the Golden Dawn". Additionally, the text notes that if Taoist priests suffer from illnesses, they can also practice this method to dispel evil toxins from the body and restore health and well-being.
