The Twelve Chapters of the Shangqing Golden Chapter
The author of The Twelve Chapters of the Shangqing Golden Chapter is unknown.
It was probably composed by Taoist priests of the Shangqing School during the Southern and Northern Dynasties, or the Sui and Tang dynasties.

This text focuses on the ritual methods for reciting eulogies. It contains twelve five-character eulogy poems, titled "The Shangqing Golden Chapter". When Taoist priests perform rituals during fasting and sacrificial ceremonies (zhaijiao), they chant these chapters to praise the divine spirits.
This text is included in the book The Eulogies and Verses of the Various True Beings in Shangqing.
The * Jade Sound Rituals* (Yuyin Fashi), a work from the Northern Song Dynasty, also includes excerpts from this text.
