The Shangqing Yuanshi Pulu Taizhen Yujue 上清元始谱录太真玉诀

Shangqing Yuanshi Pulu Taizhen Yujue (also titled Jiexíng Dunbian Liujing Yuguang), an early classic of the Shangqing School of Taoism, was probably compiled during the Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties. It has been cited in such Taoist texts as Taishang Jiuzhen Mingke (The Supreme Nine True Precepts) and Shangqing Zhongjing Zhuzhen Shengmi (The Secret Sacred Teachings of All True Immortals in the Shangqing Canon).

In the present-day Daozang (Taoist Canon), it is preserved as a one-roll text and classified under the Zhengyi Section.

The scripture elaborates on methods to "subdue the Three Corpses and dissolve the Five Pains." It posits that within the human body reside the "Three Corpses Paths" and "Five Pains Paths" (also called the "Three Evil Gates" and "Five Dao Gates"). These Three Corpses and Five Pains obstruct one’s path to attaining truth and sever the gateway to immortality. Therefore, practitioners of immortality must cultivate the methods of subduing the Three Corpses and dissolving the Five Pains to ascend as immortals. The core practices include visualizing deities, reciting mantras, inscribing and wearing the "Jade Talisman of Extinguishing Desires, Slaying Corpses, Transforming Forms, and Flowing Radiance" as the essential principles of practice.
