The Golden True Chapters Chanted by Various True Beings of Shangqing When Imparting Scriptures

The author of this text is unknown.

It is a one-volume work and included in the "Zhengyi Section" of the Taoist Canon (Daozang).

It contains twelve five-character eulogy poems, titled The Golden True Chapters (Jinzhen Zhang).

It is stated that "the twelve chapters of The Golden True Chapters all contain the inner taboos of myriad spirits and the hidden names of divine palaces. Those who recite them will have all their meridians opened and unobstructed, and their illnesses dissipated and eliminated. When imparting this text to others, it should be chanted and sung."

The content and wording of these twelve poems are similar to the poems of various true beings recorded in Zhen Gao (True Instructions), so this text is presumably written by Taoist priests of the Shangqing School during the Six Dynasties.
