The Shen Duofu 沈多福
Paul PengShare
Shen Duofu lived during the Dade era of the Yuan Dynasty. His courtesy name was Jieshi, and he was a Taoist priest of Dadi Mountain, serving as the abbot of the Taoist temples on the mountain itself.

In the third year of the Dade era of the Yuan Dynasty (1299), Deng Mu entered Tongxiao Palace and stayed at Chaoran Hall. Shen Duofu instructed Deng Mu to take Meng Zongbao, another Taoist priest of Dadi Mountain, to reside at Bailu Mountain Lodge. There, they collected old books, consulted elderly locals familiar with the area’s history, and compiled Tongxiao Tuozhi (Illustrated Records of Tongxiao Grotto-Heaven). Shen Duofu was asked to write the preface for this work, which was later renamed Dadi Dongtian Ji (Records of Dadi Grotto-Heaven).
