Shen Xun was a Taoist priest of Mount Qingcheng during the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties period, and was known as "Celestial Master Shen" by people of his time.

During the Guangzheng era of the Later Shu Dynasty (938–965), Meng Chang, the ruler of Shu, bestowed him with generous rewards in recognition of his proficiency in Taoist arts. Shen Xun wrote On Nourishing the Spirit (Yishen Lun), which has been passed down to later generations.
