Tai Shang Shuo Shi Lian Sheng Shen Jiu Hu Jing
Author unknown. It is believed to have been composed between the Tang and Song dynasties.
Consisting of one volume, it is included in the Benwen Section of the Dongshen Division in the Daozang (Daoist Canon).

The scripture proclaims that, because all beings of the four categories are bound by the three karmic actions and the six sense faculties, and afflicted by countless sinful roots that bring upon them disasters and misfortunes, the Supreme Lord Laozi thus teaches all beings to recite the names of the Ten Directions’ Heavenly Worthy Who Saves the Suffering.
As stated in the text: "If all beings can uphold this true scripture and sacred names, they shall all attain liberation. Wandering lonely souls and lingering spirits shall be reborn in heaven, and all their innumerable sins and transgressions shall be completely eliminated."
